EHS visited by 19 Vicars from Denmark
On Wednesday 19 June, 19 Lutheran church ministers from Denmark visited the school as part of a trip organised by David Welch the Youth Advisor for the Diocese of Guildford.
They were shown around the school by Dave Whymark, the school chaplain, and were able to spend a good portion of that time experiencing the Prayer Space that had been running in the school that week. The ministers were able to take part in the different activities followed by a question and answer session regarding the role of a chaplain in secondary schools.
The visit concluded with the Head Teacher where once again there was opportunity for the visitors to ask a number of questions regarding the values and ethos of a Church of England school. They left with much to think about and very much appreciated the time we were able to give them.
