EHS Students visit Elysian at Westland Farm
The students were hands on with the animals, they gave a bottle of milk to a lamb, took 7 goats for a walk on a lead and had an encounter with a Python.
"They all had a fantastic time and they showed courage and resilience throughout the day" said teacher Miss Emerton
Emily Yr 7 – “The trip to the farm was such fun. There were llamas, donkeys, pigs, a hedgehog, ferrets, snakes, goats, horses, sheep, lambs and dogs. We took the goats on a walk and got to see some baby chicks. I held a snake and fed a lamb. I also stroked a horse, it was so big.”
Zak Yr 10 – “ My favourite part of the trip was holding the lambs and also walking the goats – and feeding them. I enjoy going to this farm because I like being around animals because it makes me feel a lot calmer.”
