Esher High School students take part in Faraday Challenge
Students from Year 8 took part in this year's Institute of Engineering and Technology Faraday Challenge last week. It's a STEM based activity challenging students to resolve a real life problem by working together in teams to design and make a prototype product.
The challenge this year was for students to design a product that could be used in a children's hospital to help patients and staff. As last year, the challenge was a virtual day but still provided the opportunity for students to engage in STEM subjects to develop their problem solving and communication skills.
Sorcha in Year 8 said "It was really fun and made you have a good think about your design and whether it would work or not but It was also a great opportunity to work with other students and share thoughts and ideas. It was a chance to make a change in hospitals and the eco-friendliness of them."
