Year 7's enjoy trip to Surrey University
The day included a variety of fun educational sessions, teaching them about the different types of microorganisms and how they spread, there was also a scavenger hunt around the campus and an opportunity to examine and identify microorganisms through a microscope in a laboratory. The students were engaged throughout the day and were great ambassadors for Esher High School. The workshop was designed to broaden their understanding of university life, in addition to learning about microorganisms and infection control.
The university run workshops throughout the year as part of their ‘Widening Participation & Outreach’ programme. The aim is to help younger students find out more about Higher Education and improve their confidence in making future educational choices.
